Children must be between 2 & 5 years.
We are a term-time nursery, open for morning, afternoon or full day sessions Monday to Friday for 38 weeks per year. Alongside fee paying spaces, we offer funded only spaces for 3 year olds and eligible 2 year olds. Parents may choose which sessions they attend as all sessions are offered freely to both funded or non-funded children and there is no minimum session requirement. There will not be any priority given for admission to children based on payment/funding of fees as both fee paying and funded children are treated equally.
We would always recommend that you view the nursery before making your final decision to place your child with us. Following your visit we will check our availability to ensure that the days and sessions you require are available. We then ask that you complete registration, emergency and consent forms and return these along with a non-refundable registration fee of £30 to reserve the place.
All applications are acknowledged in writing and if required sessions are unavailable you may elect to place your child on a waiting list. This is in strict order of date of application apart from where the child is a sibling of a current child or has been referred by an outside agency.
Shortly before you child commences at nursery we ask that you make contact to arrange a settling in visit, collect a book bag and Robins Polo shirt and complete and return an “All About Me” document to provide us with up to date information about your child’s development, interests and background.
We request that your child does not wear ‘best’ clothes to nursery as these can be ruined with paint and glue. We currently offer our own polo shirts and legionnaire’s caps for sale at £10.00 and £8.00 respectively.
This admission policy should be read in association with the fees policy which gives details of our 2 and 3/4 year old free funded sessions.
We accept all employers childcare vouchers which are a financial benefit to parents as they are exempt from tax and national insurance payment. You can find out more at www.hmrc.gov.uk/childcare. You may also be able to apply for Tax Credits to help with your childcare costs. To find out if you are eligible contact the helpline on 0345 3003900.
If you require extra sessions at short notice we will make every effort to accommodate your request if we have a space available. These extra sessions are charged at the usual rate.
