Robins Nursery Mission Statement
At Robins we aim to:

provide a safe, secure, happy and warm environment for children from 2 years until they move to school at 4 years old
follow the requirements and guidance in the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework 2014
ensure each child will develop intellectually, emotionally, spiritually and physically by providing high quality, consistent care ensuring that every child makes good progress and no child gets left behind
provide an atmosphere which encourages child’s sense of self-worth, placing high importance on developing each child’s personal, social and emotional skills
plan our learning and development opportunities around the needs and interests of each individual child which are regularly assessed and reviewed
nurture each individual, recognising additional needs, gender, race, nationality and culture, aiming to inspire our children to appreciate and enjoy the amazing world we live in and to respect and celebrate the differences between us
encourage children to make choices and become independent through free play, and learn to play co-operatively, take turns, express themselves and listen to their peers in group times
welcome and respect all children and their families/carers, working closely together to provide the best outcome for the child
recognise the value of parents input and encourage them to share in their children’s learning
work closely with all agencies, supporting those who need specialist help as well as undertaking extra training and obtaining extra resources where beneficial
provide equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice, ensuring that every child and adult is included and supported
promote positive behaviour by praising and encouragement and being attentive to the needs of the children
continually assess the guidance available from all sources, particularly government advice and work towards best practice in all areas
value each staff member highly and ensure that every opportunity is given to each to develop their personal skills and to broaden their knowledge and skills in caring for and educating children
We consider it a privilege to help our fledglings to gain confidence and independence. At Robins they will learn to spread their wings and fly from our nest to the new and exciting challenges of school life.
